Slow Stitching can take many paths
A NEW project of mine, Silk Ribbons as a foundation.
My vision is layers of Sari Silks, Silk Ribbons, Beads, Sequins
Threads of all textures as an embellished piece of fabric.
suited to the Boho Panel shown.
Slow stitching is a mindful textile art focusing on the joy of
the process rather than the end product, using simple
stitches and various fabrics. It encourages experimentation
with textures, colors, and patterns, embracing imperfection
and creating unique, personalized pieces.

Tips for Slow Stitching:
- Start with a color palette: Choose colors that complement each other and create a cohesive look.
- Embrace imperfection: Allow the fabric and stitches to guide the process, rather than striving for perfection.
- Experiment with textures: Combine different fabrics and stitches to create visual and tactile interest.
- Don't be afraid to cut and re-work: If a piece isn't working, repurpose the materials into something new.
- Find what sparks your creative soul: Explore different techniques and materials to discover your unique slow stitching style.
